Adult and Young Adult Education
At Huntington we believe Christian education is important for all ages–children, youth and adults.
Our bottom line is for every person to grow in their relationship with Jesus and to connect with others.
One way to do this is to become involved in Sunday School where there are opportunities to explore issues of faith and Bible teaching in an in-depth way. Current opportunities for adults include:
Matthew’s gospel with a focus on what Jesus teaches about the ‘kingdom of heaven’ and a book study of Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. Adult education is supervised by Elder Lewi Blosser.
Do you consider yourself a “young adult”? We have an active group of 20- and 30-somethings who enjoy kayaking and picnics and Bible study. A monthly meal (sometimes more often), service opportunities, small group discussions on important current issues that are informed and impacted by our faith, and opportunities to serve in worship with our weekly peace prayer and praise team, as well as ad-hoc groups that work on current issues, all include and welcome young adult participation. If you are looking for a place to build relationships, learn and grow, Huntington is looking for you!
