Sunday School: Grades 6-8
Students are involved in reading stories directly from the Bible and reflecting on how the stories relate to their lives. Activities, such as reader’s theater, crafts, games, and outdoor activities, reinforce the truths in each lesson. We connect the stories to peace issues using the Old Testament concept of shalom: whole and right relationships with self, neighbors, creation, and God. We talk about ways to express our faith through lives of peacemaking and service. Each week, time is given to share joys and concerns and to pray about them. The class is taught by Mrs. Lois Blosser. Lois has retired from teaching school for 28 years and at the present time is a substitute school teacher and does some tutoring.
