Welcome to our church, and our site!
If you are new to Newport News or looking for a church that’s not too big or not too small, give us a look at Huntington Mennonite. However you have arrived at this website, welcome, we’re glad you’re here. We hope you have a good experience with our church, but even more, we hope that by participating with our community you’ll come to realize how much God loves you, and how much he wants you to participate in the community of faith.
Here are some ways to get started:
Learn about our church at a Sunday noon “Get to Know Huntington class, held the second Sunday of the month. Lasts about an hour.
If you’re struggling with something, we may be able to provide help. Contact the church office and Julie will direct you to the appropriate place.
Want to get to know some other people? Learn about some ways to connect. We have Sunday morning education classes for all ages. We have disciple groups that meet for short series of studies.
What To Expect As A Guest…
We are thrilled you are considering joining us this Sunday for Worship. Here are some answers to some of your possible questions. Also, feel free to email us [firstname.lastname@example.org]
Will there by food or drink \ coffee?
We offer some snacks and coffee \ tea \ juice both before our Sunday School group meetings (for all ages beginning @9:30am) and again between SS and the Church Worship Service (10:45am). It is a good time to meet a few of our friendly people prior to the worship.
Is there a nursery or childcare provided?
We have a clean and fully equipped nursery facility staffed by loving, nurturing men and women. You may stay with your child in the nursery until everyone is comfortable. We also have Children’s Church for ages 3yrs to 2nd grade offered, during the Pastor’s message, where the children engage in age appropriate activities and learning.
Will I be asked to speak or be identified as a guest?
Absolutely not! We want you to enjoy the morning and participate where you wish. Be sure and let us know if you need anything.
What kind of things will happen in the service?
You will experience worshipful music, opportunity to express or receive prayer, hear a relevant, biblically based message, and meet some friendly folks who are seeking to become more like Jesus.
Is there a dress code?
There is no prescribed dress code at Huntington. Modesty is always in fashion.
What time and how long?
Worship begins at 10:45 AM and ends by Noon.
